How much does a ticket cost?

The price depends on your profile and your route: routes that include a mountain (Huayna Picchu, Machu Picchu Mountain, Huchuy Picchu) cost more than circuits without one. The official portal shows the exact rate once you pick a date, circuit, route and time slot. We recommend confirming it there or asking us for a quote: prices on blogs and agency websites are often out of date.

How to buy

  1. Online, at tuboleto.cultura.pe: up to 5 visitors per booking. You can also pay for your booking at any Banco de la Nación branch or at the payment office at Calle Heladeros 165 in Cusco.
  2. In Machupicchu Pueblo, in person, with up to 1,000 tickets a day for entry the following day.
  3. Through an agency, which coordinates your ticket, train, bus and guide in a single booking.

Common mistakes

  • Registering a passport number other than the one you’ll be carrying: tickets can’t be transferred.
  • Buying a minor ticket for someone who has turned 18 by the day of the visit.
  • Bringing a copy or photo of your ID: the physical document is required.
  • Buying the ticket after the train: entry tickets are what sell out first.
